Recreating the Crime Scene at Jekyll Island

If the international bankers are smart, they will have added a secret ingredient to the catered lunch on Saturday. A bunch of us rebels are at Jekyll Island, where the blueprints for the Federal Reserve were designed--and they definitely fell into the wrong hands, namely, the hands of the guys who wrote them.

The classic work on all this stuff is The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve. I heard that it was a kook book (not to be confused with a cook book) but I'm about halfway through and I'm waiting to hit the crazy stuff. Of course, it could just be that I'm crazy.

Comments:
i read it a few times; love to hear your feedback;

As someone from georgia, and someone who goes to Jekyll Island every year, let me say im sad i could not attend the Mises summit there.

Alas, The money spent on the trip would have me loose too many utils, and i already can't find where most my utils are now!

The book by Mr. Griffin is only kooky to those not willing to admit they're being controlled by very wealthy and powerful people. Denial is a strong thing.

I've personally researched Mr. Griffins claims(I'm not talking about googling "conspiracy theories" and calling it a day) and have found them to be true. I suggest people do the same, if you dare.

Oh come on Dr. Murphy, don't play on the fears of the paranoid Americans that visit your blog, after all how could a central bank not be working in the public's interest to be promoting macro-economic stability and not have ulterior interests at hand? The individuals that visit this site and others are very kooky indeed!

On a second note, I thought it was pretty entertaining to see Ron Paul rail against the FED the other day, to be honest, it's slightly irritating to see how cocky and apparently impeccable Ben Bernanke is.

The man seems to have trouble answering questions without a wry smirk always plastered on his face.

I realize that your purpose is education, but I would be very pleased if someday the location where the plotting of the Fed occurred, ended up being where the plotting of its demise also occurred. There would be some cool symmetry in that.

Dr. Murphy, I have an Mp3 recording of Griffin telling the Jekyll Island story if you are interested. If I remember correctly it is about 90 minutes long. I find it useful to share the information with others that might not be willing to read the book but would put it on their audio device they can't seem to live without, usually some variation of an iPod. If you are interested I would be happy to share the file with you. Thanks.
Steve
