Sadly Pipe's argument is just reasonable enough that the president will probably take this advice if his popularity continues to slip.

Yipes.
It's funny to imagine the president, any president, scrolling through op-ed pieces looking for a clue. I think I'd rather the president were a secret communist than that he read pieces like this and scratched his chin thinking "Hmmm.. It does poll well.."
