The Fight Against Anarchy

OK kids some of you have complained about all the spam in the comments lately, which has annoyed me too. (The spam, not your complaints.) So I am selflessly taking on the responsibility of moderating all the comments. We'll try this for a while and see how it goes.

On the negative side, it will make it harder for you guys to argue with each other.

On the positive side, it will make it harder for you guys to argue with each other.

Comments:
Here's the thing about Anarchy. The beauty of it is that in a true anarchy, private businesses, groups, websites, blogs, etc have the responsibility and "right" to see that things are done the way they want them done. If you don't like the spam, then control it. If you don't mind it, don't control it, regardless of what people say.

Dr. Murphy--how about the fight against corporatism? Check out the "possible" insider trading by NY Fed Chair Stephen Friedman: http://dailybail.com/home/is-stephen-friedman-guilty-of-insider-trading.html#comments

Way guiltier than Martha Stewart, by my standards. What do you think?

Truthfully, I'd rather tolerate the spam than the delays that moderation causes. Krugman's blog is moderated and it's impossible to have any back-and-forth.

Dr. Murphy, You can delete comments from blogger. Shoe salesman has already pitched his wares in the last post.

Hey, I was just about to buy some ummggs. Do you know what the web address was?

Let's just try this for a few days and see how it goes. If I just opt for deleting the spam then I might miss threads where I don't check back.

Also this way I can freely post on racy topics and not worry that Beefcake the Mighty will eviscerate me publicly.

Bobo how about all comment that involve a link in the post get moderation.

Please forward me any information you send Wenzel about ummggs. I have been scavenging the web for a decent sale.
