A Great Metaphor for the Whole Obama Administration

Hey kids, check out this neat magic trick! (HT2EPJ)

If you go to this page hosted by the Department of Education, the third bullet point says:
Find information about community service organizations and share it with your child. You can begin by going to the Web site for the newly created Freedom Corps— www.usafreedomcorps.gov/—and looking for possibilities for volunteering and community service.
But go ahead and copy and paste that wonderful sounding URL into your browser. (Note that it's not hyperlinked in the original, either; I transferred it here correctly.) You'll see that it redirects you to a web page that does not have anything to do with freedom in its title.

Comments:
Great catch.

"War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength."

That's just too funny. Way too funny.

«United we serve» Eh?

Like good little slaves...

Just wait until 'service' becomes a mandatory graduation requirement.

Here's what I like: this link is live:

http://www.studentsinservicetoamerica.org/

Note that it begins "President George W. Bush has called . . . ."

Perhaps the White House wants to provide support for the view that this really is GWB's third term?

www.serve.gov

I guess the best place to hide something is in plain sight.

Since it was a Bush program it's quite a better metaphor for his administration -- i.e. stick a marketing label on something 'patriot act', 'freedom corps' and sell it to the American people under false pretenses.

Check this out at the same website: President Barack Obama to make historic speech to America's students, especially the suggested classroom activities. Remember, children, only Barack Obama can save you. Oh, and that other guy, wassisname. Jesus. Yeah, him too. Don't forget to tune in to the historic speech (even though it hasn't happened yet).
