I hate when people try to get out of questions by saying the person asking them is being pushy or not understanding their answers.

Q:"Yes or no, tax is voluntary?"
A:"It's more complex, you see.."
Q:"Please, just yes or no."
A:"Yes it is, but if you don't pay there are civil and legal penalities."
Q:"So it isn't voluntary?"
A:"But your allowed to keep some of your money..."
Q:"So if you don't pay they take it?"
A:"Well that's not what I said! There are penalities, they don't take it!"
Q:"Please, sir, do I have to pay taxes?"
A:"I've tried to answer you but you won't listen! Your twisting words and I don't know exactly what it is your trying to do here!!"


The problem all along was that we were listening, while so many others weren't...

I just do not understand how this man, Harry Reed, is the Senate majority leader. Come on, has public education declined so much, that we as a society can not see what he is doing and getting away with? We can not even agree on the meaning of the word "voluntary"? I am so glad secularism has taken over the public school system. I can now just say, "I paid my taxes, by paid I mean I chose not to file. Voluntarily. I don't really have to give my money to say I paid in a voluntary system do I? If I had to, then we are like other countries, like France. No, we are different. We can define words however we want. If Harry can say that voluntary is when you dont have to pay, but there are penalties, then why can I not say I paid, but not give any money." Words now only mean what I want them to mean. Thank you modern education.

Harry Reid should watch the Calvin Coolidge clip where he says what taxes are.

The whole point is to keep the iron fist in the velvet glove concealed so the citizenry can maintain some level of self respect as they grovel.
